Daily Drawing 2017 Year in Review

As you know, I decided to draw and post a small ink drawing every weekday of 2017. Now the year has come to an end and I have completed 260 illustrations. The graphic up above shows all of them together. (Click on the image to see it somewhat bigger.) And I never missed a day. There were a few days where I barely squeaked by and posted late in the evening, but I always got something posted. I think that’s pretty impressive.

Some of the drawings are favorites of mine and wound up in my portfolio. Others are just kinda OK. But I enjoyed it and I think my drawing skills are sharper because of this practice.

So now what? I did the daily drawing in 2015 and took 2016 off from regular posting. But I think I’m going to continue on into 2018. See you on Monday in a new year with a new drawing. This should be fun.

Vote 2016

So I voted this afternoon. I felt a lot like this guy does. Did I make the right choice? Did he? Did you? I guess we’ll find out what America decided tonight. And history will tell us if we chose well.

Jim and Ted 15: The picnic

JimTed15

I figured that Jim and Ted needed a longer break from the insanity that has been their life. So here they are enjoying a nice happy, picnic.

Jim and Ted 14: Picnic Time

JimTed14

After all the drama in the past few weeks of their lives, I felt that Jim and Ted needed a break. So they’ve landed their helicopter in this peaceful desert and are going to have a nice quiet picnic.

Will it stay quiet? Probably not. Tune in next week to find out.

Jim and Ted 13: Hazardous Flight

JimTed13

After last week’s startling near-collision with a monstrous mouth– we see that Jim has expertly flown the helicopter away from a giant dinosaur of all things and around many other dangers. Poor Ted is still hanging onto the outside of the helicopter.

What’s next for these 2 adventurers? Hopefully, they’ll land somewhere safely next week.
