Today the shape presents itself as the hole in a tree– the perfect home for a squirrel.

So I’m trying something different with my daily drawing this month. Rather than an a unifying theme for every drawing, I’m going to begin every image with the same abstract shape. I scribbled out a quick shape (seen below) and pre-printed it on my drawing paper. So now I have to incorporate this into every image. I’m not sure what I’ll do with it every day but, but it should be fun.

It’s the last day of May, which means it’s the last Cat drawing I’ll do for a while– and apparently I had a lot more cats in my system that needed to get drawn out. Come back tomorrow for another drawing with a new theme.

My mother keeps asking for a really fluffy cat. So this one’s for you, Mom.
