I was looking over some old illustrations lately, and came across a piece I did a just a few years ago: The Space Farm.
I remember at the time thinking that it was one of the best pieces I had done. I still love the utter randomness of the concept and the composition isn’t bad, but I’m surprised at how raw my drawing was.
So I decided to redraw the illustration completely.
As you can tell, I kept the composition mostly unchanged and kept the colors close to what they had been before. Beyond that, I don’t even think the two look like the work of the same person. I guess this means I’m progressing as an artist, or something…
Holy Cow! (no pun intended) Fantastic Job. You have come a long way, and I have no doubt you will find great success. With every great challenge you will meet adversity and triumph. Just remember you have many people cheering you on. Have confidence in yourself and pursue your dream with tenacity. All the best!

I love what you’ve done with the pig’s butt. 🙂 Besides the quality of the drawing itself, I think that’s the best improvement from the first version!
Yep….amazing difference, and yes the pigs posture is a most amazing improvement.
