A well-dressed swan.

A well-dressed swan.
This isn’t the most graceful swan.
I’m not sure if I’ve ever told this story here. A few years ago, I did a sample drawing of a swan for a tiny publisher as an audition for a picture book they were doing. I didn’t get the book– apparently the swan I drew didn’t fit the project.
But it got me thinking about the many different ways I could draw a swan or any given topic. That eventually led me to these daily drawings and which I try to draw the same animal or topic differently every day for a month. But I never got around to drawing multiple swans. Until now.
Not everyone appreciates a friendly shark.
This is my last shark drawing of the month. I’ve had a blast drawing sharks and could easily have drawn dozens more. Hopefully, whatever theme I pick to draw for March will inspire me just as much.
A literal fish out of water. And, also, one wearing a hat.
